  • In the 50th percentile for height and weight.  No more pacifiers and converted his crib into a toddler bed.  he is saying words like "Mommy, Daddy, cheese, please, bath, Nana, Pops, towel, Kohl, dog, tape, change, snow, woof, meow, bye bye, hi, no."  He is running and into everything.

    Lookout! He is crawling and on the go!  He can now say Mama, Dada, Nana, and talks jibber jabber all day long.  He has 6 teeth and 2 more coming in on the bottom.  He loves to play with wooden spoons, measuring cups, and tupperware.  He is able to drink Pedialyte out of a sippy cup.  He is wearing 18 months clothes.

    We came home from the hospital this month.  We played in the kiddie pool alot and practiced pulling up on things,  We lowered his mattress because he can now pull up on the side.

    His 9th month is being spent in the hospital.  He is a very laid back baby and content with hanging out surrounded by his toys.  He discovered books and loves to look at pictures of faces.  He likes to make noise with shakers, rattles, and anything he can clap together.  His hair has come in and it is curly.

    He has discovered bath toys and bathtime has become SO much fun! We spent most of his 8th month in the hospital.  He has learned how to use his fingers, especially his thumbs.  He smiles and laughs all the time.

  • click to enlarge Barrett is sitting up on his own now!  He loves the new found freedom of not needing someone to hold him up.  He is wearing 12-18 months clothes.  His hair is really coming in and getting longer.  This is a big teething month and we have been trying to keep him comfortable.  He loves to be outdoors  wearing only a diaper.

  • click to enlarge He outgrew his car seat this month.  He got his first two teeth.  He can almost sit up by himself.  He is on the verge of crawling. He discovered his feet and can't take his hands off of them.  He is wearing 9-12 months clothes.

    Barrett is using his highchair and eating homeade solid foods beginning with rice, squash, sweet potatoes, and peas.  He lost a little weight from being sick the previous month, but gained it back plus some.  It's money in the bank for when he starts crawling the doctor says. He responds to his name.

  • click to enlarge He is so sick this month.  He has been to the doctor 3 times and had his first trip to the emergency room.  He loves to play and discoving his voice by saying "Hey!"  He is rolling all the way over and can sit supported.  His favorite toy is his Exersaucer.  He is sleeping all night (yea!!!)

  • click to enlarge He loves to look at faces and listen to our voices.  He is learning how to use his hands and notices bright colors.  He can hold his head up and is trying to hold his bottle.  He is figuring out how to stick his bottom lip out when he is sad.  He is wearing 6 months clothes.

  • click to enlarge Bear changed dramatically as soon as he hit his due date.  He finally lets me put him down.  The doctor says preemies are more attached to their Mom and need to be held more because they would still be in the womb.  The Dr. says to consider it the 4th trimester.  He is smiling all the time and sleeping in his crib.  He loves to be rocked and sung to sleep.

  • click to enlarge We moved from Colorado to Texas when Barrett was one month old.  We drove for 14 hours with a car full of 2 dogs, food for the trip, and a baby!  He was still on the oxygen, but continued to gain weight quickly.
